Directed by Jon Favreau, Zathura was one of the first to suffer the dreaded demise of the artistic movie poster. Jon wanted a classic image to represent his wonderful film but even after having the go ahead from the studio it did not happen. The poster was a computer generated image and the painting drew produced was not used for the advertising.

Jon did go ahead and had a limited edition Giclee print run of the artwork. He gifted the cast and crew with the edition as a token of his gratitude for all the dedication they put forth in the production.
